In a world of Coke vs. Pepsi and Yankees vs. Red Sox, there’s one thing we can all agree on: waiting in line stinks. This is never more true than at theme parks—regardless of how fun the ride is, no one likes shuffling through a crowded queue for an hour with nothing to do. Sure, you can risk your phone battery dying to play a couple of games, but even with an extra battery your cell isn’t going to last all day if you’re on it that often.
I have mixed feelings about flying. On the one hand, it’s always fun heading to a new destination and whatever adventure waits there. On the other, flights are long and boring and crowded (at least for those of us in Economy).
I don’t know if I’d label myself as a “frequent flyer,” but I have flown enough in the past few years to pick up plenty of tips and tricks to make the experience more enjoyable. Here are some of my favorite ways to prepare for and survive a long flight.
